Tory is 2!
Mommy and Tory in Massachusetts! Tory loved to jump on the trampoline at Uncle Monkey's house!
Tory's cousins are into do-rags for some reason...but this pink one does look cute on Tory...So we had our 2 week vacation to visit family. We had a wonderful celebration to honor my grandfather, Tory's great-grandfather, who turned 95 in January. It was a really nice brunch and Grandpa really enjoyed it. Tory had a great week, visiting all of her aunts, uncles and cousins, and her new friend Ethan, who is going to be 3 in August. We spent 3 days at Cape Cod (The Cape) to avoid the staggering heat in Worcester (only to return to 100 degree heat back home this week!). Tory did not like the sand near the water, so we avoided the beach. She did love the boats, though, and looking at the water. I need to find a way to get her over her sand phobia! That one could be troublesome! We took another week off when we got back home, and did fun things like go to playgroup, to the zoo, visit friends, celebrate the 4th of July (man, is it noisy here!) and prepare for Tory's birthday party. We had the party in the park, and it was a lot of fun. We had cupcakes and pizza (not in that order) and lots of playing in the playground. I will add some more pictures later. It's hard to believe it's been a year since I started this blog, just in time for Tory's 1st birthday! We (yes, we) are having fun playing with Tory's new toys, including a wonderful new tricycle from Al, which we haven't ventured outdoors with yet, but enjoy going around in circles in the house. Do you need a helmet with a tricycle??? I can't believe Tory is 2! She is singing the whole ABC song, Twinkle Twinkle, several lullabies at night, Itsy-Bitsy spider, and some other songs, she can say all the numbers up to 10, she puts on her own shoes and knows when they are on the wrong feet, she loves to go for long excursions, she loves her blankie, she loves going down the slide, and she often will venture to try new things. Oh my gosh there was just such a lightning blast and thunder outside my house, it sounded like it actually struck next door! The cats just went nuts! Anyway, Tory is growing in leaps and bounds and I can't wait to see what she does next!
